PRAYER CONCERNS
Amy Games has been experiencing severe knee pain. Sherry Holt (friend of Sue Wirsing) is in the hospital with a broken arm and is on kidney dialysis. Danny McMillan fell last Saturday and broke his hip, and had successful surgery to repair it. He is in rehabilitation at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire. Karen Jones (mother of Leslie Huffman’s co-worker) had a recent surgery to remove a large brain tumor and is undergoing aggressive radiation treatment and chemotherapy. Sarah (Attkinson)Shuman (Angel Baker’s cousin, age 29) is on the heart transplant list. She had cancer when she was 12, and though she is in remission, the treatment has taken a toll on her heart.

OUTDOOR WORSHIP
We are planning to worship at our new property on Reservoir Road (between Woodbury’s Outdoor Store and Kuester’s) this evening, weather permitting. We’ll have a bonfire and hotdog roast after worship. Bring your lawn chairs, a blanket, and some hot dogs, and we’ll look forward to worshipping and fellowshipping together. It is always a great chance to celebrate God’s work among us, as well as anticipate and pray for God’s future for us.
COINS FOR CHILDREN
Each year for the past several years, we have been saving our loose change to help with the support of the children who reside at Potter’s Children Home in Bowling Green, KY. If you would like to help again this year, take one of the cans available on the table in the hallway and begin saving your change in it. The deadline for returning the cans will be Nov. 10.
COLLEGE STUDENT ADDRESSES
The summer has passed and most of our colleges students are back on campus. So that we can stay in touch with them throughout the school year, please give their name and college address to Joyce so we can publish in a future bulletin.
NORTH HILLS YOUTH RALLY
All teens in grades 7-12 are invited to the North Hills Youth Rally, at the North Hills Church of Christ September 27-28th. For those with activities on Friday, a vehicle will also be going Saturday morning. The cost is $7 and registration is due this Sunday to Brad.
WEDNESDAY ADULT CLASS
Our great summer series of adult classes has come to an end. We thank all those who helped to lead us in our study. We are now resuming our study of I Corinthians, with Tim McKeen and Jay Rodak leading us in our study.
WAYS TO MINISTER TO OTHERS
We are continuing to collect the fronts of used greeting cards. (No Christmas Cards, please.)
“Box Tops for Education” and “Campbell’s Labels for Education” are needed by Mid-Western Children’s Home. Only the UPC label is necessary. To save time and shipping expense, please cut the label out before placing them in the box in the hallway.
If you want to help with any of these ongoing ministries, please bring the items and place them in the appropriate containers on the table in the hallway.
IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY
A lady called and said, “I’ve made the worst mistake in my life! Is there any hope for me?” We all sin and need the forgiveness of God and His blessing. What is forgiveness and what will it do in our lives? In next week’s lesson, “Forgiveness”, Phil Sanders will help us learn what it means to be forgiven. The televised program can be seen locally every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
