VBS OPPORTUNITIES

VBS is finally here! Our theme this year is “David, A Man After God’s Own Heart.” There are several ways we need your help, and there is a place for everyone to get involved.

First and foremost, continue to pray fervently for God to work through our efforts—that young people and families from this community will come to know God through us.

Secondly, invite friends, family, and neighbors to participate. We have post-cards with VBS info for you to pass out.

Plus, we have an online presence to help promote our VBS. This can be one of the most effective tools (beside personal invitations) in promoting VBS. On Facebook, there is an event on the St. Clairsville Church of Christ page that you can use to invite other Facebook friends. You can join the event, invite your friends, and share the event as well. You can find more information online at stcchurch.org/vbs2014.

Thanks to all those who helped set up for VBS! Without your help, it would never come together. There are still two areas you can serve. We will need cookies for the adult program each night upstairs. We will also need help tearing down on Saturday.

There will be a meeting for all team leaders this morning after worship. Costumes can be picked up in the back hallway.

The closing program and open house will be Friday at 7pm. It’s important that you are there (even if you didn’t participate through the week) so we can show hospitality to our guests and encourage the kids. We also need snacks, finger foods, and drinks.

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and love for VBS. As we prayerfully come together as a church, God will work powerfully through us. Thank you!

 SHEPHERDS, DEACONS, & PREACHERS MEETING

There will be an important shepherds, deacons, and preachers meeting Sunday, August 10th at 4:30 upstairs in the MP Room.

 CAMP AWARDS

If you or your child has received any camp awards, please let Joyce know. Thank you!

MISSION TRIP

Kyle Digiandomenico was able to go on a last minute mission trip to the City of Children (a church of Christ ran orphanage) in Mexico this week. Pray for him as he works and serves for the Kingdom!

GREAT NEWS!

We celebrate with Lexi Johnson and her family, as Lexi was baptized while at Camp Concern Secondary Week. We apologize for omitting this awesome news from the bulletin last week. Be sure to encourage and pray for Lexi in her walk with Jesus!

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

The Lord Jesus promised to return to earth someday. Predictions abound, but no one knows when. Every eye will witness His return. In this lesson we’ll study what the Lord will do when He comes for His own.

Next week’s lesson by Phil Sanders is, “The Second Coming”. The program can be seen locally every Sunday, 7:30a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
