PRAYER CONCERNS David Burghy is in China for two weeks on a business trip. Kathy Green is home and doing well following her recent surgery. Paul Huffman was in the emergency room last weekend due to chest pains. Ona McKelvey (friend of Darla Yazombek) will be having surgery Sept. 17. Chuck and Theresa Monroe (friends of Dot Saunders) both have serious health problems. John Sowinski is having difficulties walking due to a lot of pain in his right foot. Mr. VanDyne (Cindy Shipley’s neighbor) is having health problems because of blood clots in his legs. Tina Hayes requests our prayers for Bill White (a relative) who is having heart problems. CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to Justin & Rebecca Gallagher, who were united in marriage on August 8th, 2015. Keep them in prayer! There will be a money card wedding shower in their honor. You may give your money to Linda Gooch or Joyce Slatt. KIDS’ DAY & CHURCH PICNIC On August 22nd, we will be having a kids’ activity day for kids and teens of all ages at Loy Cabin from 10-4. Lunch will be provided. After the kids day, we will have a church-wide pot-luck picnic. SYMPATHY Abbey Frohnapfel, a 16 year old student from John Marshall and friend of Michael Games & former student of Brian Games, died recently of leukemia. Please keep her family and her friends in your prayers. ATTENDED NURSERY We need volunteers for the attended nursery during our Sunday morning worship gathering. If we have enough volunteers, it will only be a commitment for one Sunday morning every other month. This is an important ministry to help serve families with young children. Aug 16—Dot Saunders; Aug 23—Stacie Cannon; August 30th—Darla Gill MINISTRY MEETING There will be a ministry meeting for the shepherds, deacons, and preachers this afternoon at 4:30pm in the MP Room. OUTDOOR EVENING WORSHIP & HOT DOG ROAST This Sunday evening (weather permitting), we will be having an outdoor worship at the new property, followed by a hot dog roast. Bring a chair, and some cook-out supplies. The property is by Woodbury’s Outdoor Store and Kuester’s (John Deere dealer). The address is 47692 Reservoir Road, St. C. GLEANER CANS There are gleaner cans available on the table in the back hallway to collect your loose change to help with the Potter’s Children’s Home. COLLECTING SHOES, CARDS & PILLOWCASES Dot Saunders is collecting shoes of any size (male or female) in any condition for a fundraiser in helping a boy who has Muscular Dystrophy get a much needed wheel chair accessible van. In exchange for the shoes, they will receive cash and the shoes will be sent to third world countries. Dot will be collecting the shoes through August 22nd. Dot Saunders and Alicia Estadt are also collecting homemade pillowcases and Christmas cards for Liza’s Place and local nursing homes. Please see Dot or Alicia for more information.
