 WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUMMER SERIES

The Summer Series on Wednesday night continues this week. The theme this year is “Blessed.” Joe Stenger will be teaching “Dwelling in the Lord’s House.” from Psalm 84:4.

VBS OPPORTUNITIES

VBS is almost here! VBS will be Aug.4-8 (6:30 – 8:30 p.m.). Our theme this year is “David, A Man After God’s Own Heart.” There are several ways we need your help, and there is a place for everyone to get involved.

First and foremost, pray fervently for God to work through our efforts—that young people and families from this community will come to know God through this ministry.

Secondly, invite friends, family, and neighbors to participate. We have post-cards with VBS info for you to pass out. If you want the church to mail them, give the names and addresses to Joyce.

Plus, we have an online presence to help promote our VBS. This can be one of the most effective tools (beside personal invitations) in promoting VBS. On Facebook, there is an event on the St. Clairsville Church of Christ page that you can use to invite other Facebook friends. You can join the event, invite your friends, and share the event as well. You can find more information online at stcchurch.org/vbs2014.

There are two VBS sign-up sheets on the bulletin board. One is to help with set-up and tear down; the other is for adult team leaders. Your service in these areas is critical to the success of VBS.

If you would like to donate money for needed supplies for VBS, please give it to Kathy Green.

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and love for VBS. As we prayerfully come together as a church, God will work powerfully through us. Thank you!

SHEPHERDS, DEACONS, & PREACHERS MEETING

There will be a shepherds, deacons, and preachers meeting today at 4:30 upstairs in the MP Room.

 CAMP CONCERN

Junior week (ages 8-10) campers will be leaving for camp this afternoon. Pray that God will work in their lives this week!

HOUSE TO HOUSE, HEART TO HEART

The newest edition of the House to House, Heart to Heart publication is available on the table in the lobby and on the table across from Brad’s office. This edition includes information about our VBS, so it is a great one to share with friends, family, and neighbors.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

The men’s breakfast scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd has been cancelled due to the set-up for VBS.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

No one lives forever, but what will happen to us when we die? Each of us must face this event in our lives, so knowing what will happen and preparing for the afterlife is vitally important.

Next week’s lesson by Phil Sanders is, “What Happens At Death”. The program can be seen locally every Sunday, 7:30a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
