News & Notes
Elder Selection Process: Over the next several weeks, we will be discussing the work and qualifications of shepherds to help us prepare for the process of selecting new elders to add to our eldership. This is a very important step in our growth as a congregation, and you are invited and encouraged to participate. We will have a series of discussion in the Sunday morning bible class, and then later this month we will begin a series of teachings in our worship time together. This is an exciting opportunity for our church, so make plans to be involved and be fervent in prayer!
RELAY FOR LIFE: Thanks to everyone who was part of Relay for Life and helped to make it a great event!
Teen devotional: The next TND (Thursday Night Devotional) for the teens will be Thursday at the McDiffitts’ at 7pm.
Nursery help: We are in need of more volunteers to help in the nursery & kids class for Sunday morning on a rotating basis. Talk with the shepherds to help.
Teacher Sign-Up: There are still several teaching spots open for the coming year. If you can help, sign up on the bulletin board.
Public Responses: On Wednesday night Paula & Joe Schimdli and Mike Vilano came forward asking for prayers. They are each facing some difficulties and need prayers and support.
Encountering Jesus: The Summer Series in the Wednesday night class continues this week! Bill Rice will be teaching Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well from John 4. If you miss a week, the recordings will be posted on the website.
Camp Concern: Camp Concern Work Day will be July 6th. Campers that participate receive first-choice of cabin selection.
Sympathy: We extend our sympathy to Dorothy Nice and her family. Alice Turley (98) (Dorothy’s sister-in-law) passed away last Wednesday. She was a believer.
