PRAYER REQUESTS

Charlotte Patton will have to undergo rotator cuff surgery within the near future.  Frank Sponhaltz’s leg is slowly healing after having a cancerous spot removed. Kynlee Judge’s tests on her kidneys revealed no problems.  Jimmy Thrash will soon undergo tests on the tumor in his head. Caden Blacker is to have 2 moles removed from the top of his head in the near future.  Herb Keys, the father of Jessica Harris’ brothers, had a stent inserted last week to help open a blocked valve.  Scott Greenlee, a co-worker of Darlene Baker, Karen Digiandomenico and Jan Ehni, has been diagnosed with Multiple Symptoms Atrophy.  He is now under hospice care.   Connie Willison, one of Nancy Miller’s co-workers, is recovering from surgery to remove one of her kidneys.   The 11-month old niece of one of Julie Daley’s co-workers had to be lifeflighted to Children’s Hosp. in Pittsburgh last Wednesday.

Several are still experiencing seasonal illnesses.

Please continuing praying for the following for whom our prayers have been requested:  Justin Arnold [the brother of Charlotte & Wayne Patton’s daughter-in-law (Leann)], Clyde Carpenter, Amy Dunbar (friend of Rose Voscavitch, colon surgery), Wilda Freeland, Faith Hilton (Bunky Loy’s granddaughter), Donna Hirauk, Lee Hoffman,  Kevin Kalany,  Judy Kinemond  (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer), Charlotte Mason (Mae Deller’s daughter, declining health due to cancer), Margaret Noling (John’s mother, shingles), Peg Spielvogel, Darlene Straub, Michael Trabert (friend of Everett & Judy Hutson) and Jennifer Wheeler (Amy Nestor’s mother).

SERVING IN THE MILITARY

Let’s continue to join our prayers together on behalf of those of our church family and extended church family who are serving in the armed forces…Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Bill Randolph (Matt’s father), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son).

   Chad Huggins who is stationed in Korea has requested our prayers for various decisions in his life.  He hopes to return to the states the first part of May.

 SYMPATHY 

We extend our deepest sympathy to Terrie Gaston & Sally McDiffitt in last Monday’s death of their aunt, Patty Elsey.

FIFTH SUNDAY CONTRIBUTION

Since today is a “Fifth-Sunday,” all the contribution will go toward the expansion of our facilities.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

    All the men and boys are invited to the Monthly Men’s Breakfast at Eat ‘N Park this coming Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP

The fellowship for the month of April during which we will honor all those who will be celebrating Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries during April will be next Sunday following the evening service. Care Group A will be in charge of the arrangements.

 GOD’S GIRLS’ YOUTH RALLY

All girls who are in the Sixth Grade through College Age range are invited to participate in the 8th Annual “God’s Girls’ Youth Rally” on April 20 at the facilities of the Holiday Park church of Christ in Pittsburgh (9:45 a.m.-5:45 p.m.)  (See the Bulletin board across from Brad’s office for more details.)

OMISSIONS ON CALENDARS 

    Ethan Blacker’s March 27th birthday was omitted from this month’s calendar and Eddie Arnold’s April 23rd birthday was omitted from next month’s calendar. We apologize for the inadvertent omissions.

JUNIOR YOUTH RALLY

    Those in Grades 3-6 are invited to the Jr. Youth Rally sponsored by the Grand Central congregation in Vienna, WV, Saturday, April 20 (9:00-3:30).  If you want a T-shirt, your registration must be sent by April 8.  (More details and the sign-up list are on the Youth Bulletin Board across from Brad’s office.  If you are planning to go, please sign the list and provide your T-shirt size.)  .

CLOTHING FOR FIRE VICTIM

    The mother whose three children died in a fire in Bridgeport a few days ago is in need of clothing.  Pant/slack size: 16; Shirt/blouse size: Medium.  Contact Vicki Kalany for more information.

ITEMS FOR POTTER CHILDREN’S HOME

    We have been given another opportunity to help with the support of the children who reside at the Potter Children’s Home in Bowling Green, KY.  They are asking us to donate the following items:  13 gallon kitchen trash bags; water; Spray & Shout Stain Remover; canned whole tomatoes and canned refried beans. Cash for fresh foods is also needed.  The deadline is May 12.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

    In next week’s broadcast, Phil Sanders’ sermon will be “The Church Jesus Built.”  The nationally televised program can be seen Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
