PRAYER CONCERNS

Caylee Abbott (Clint Abbott’s one month old daughter),  born five weeks early, is undergoing tests for brain defects. Charles Boger has been diagnosed with cancer on his lungs. He is consulting with doctors and will have surgery soon. Jan Ehni has either bronchitis or pneumonia. Skip Gooch is doing fairly well in his recovery from back surgery. Ted Huntsman had three stents put in last week. He is doing well. Jerry Moore has seen some improvement with his eye, but still has several weeks of recovery.  Jacob Walton (Richard and Molly’s baby) underwent successful heart surgery last Wednesday.

IN THE MILITARY

Please continue to pray for those who are serving in the military…C.J. Arnold (Eddie’s brother, Afghanistan), Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Chad Huggins,  Bill Randolph (Matt’s father), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son, in California) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son).

BAPTISM

     We celebrate with Julie Fowler, who made the decision to be baptized into Christ, and to begin to walk in a new life with God! Pray for and encourage her as we welcome her into the family! Her children are Katelin, age 9 and Dalton, age 4-1/2.

SYMPATHY

We extend our sympathy to Amber Hope, whose grandmother, Sally Williams recently passed away.     We  also extend our sympathy to the family of Bertha Kettlewell, who passed away on January 30th.      Sympathy is also extended to Edie Roberts who’s mother, Alice Riley passed away this past week.  Alice was a member of the National Rd. church of Christ.

MEETING WITH BRAD POE

   We have scheduled a special series of services with Brad Poe for this Spring. Mark your calendars for March 30th – April 2nd, and make plans to be with us (and invite friends and family) as Brad encourages and challenges us.

GLEANER CANS

     There are gleaner cans available on the table in the back hallway to collect your loose change to help with the Potter’s Children’s Home.

WINTERFEST

The teens and chaperones will be leaving for Winterfest in Gatlinburg, TN early Friday morning, and returning Sunday night. Please keep the weekend in your prayers.

 COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES

We are collecting supplies for the Care Packages for our college students. There is a tub for supplies by Brad’s office in the back hallway. If you have questions or would like to help, see Linda Gooch.

BIBLE CLASSES

On Sunday mornings at 9am and Wednesday nights at 7pm we have Bible classes for adults and children of all ages. These classes are a great opportunity for you and your family to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s word. We hope you’ll join us!

There is limited wireless internet available for those who wish to use it to access bible study materials through mobile device. The password is “stcfamily” without the quotation marks.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

When this life is over, we will look back at our lives wondering what we have done that mattered.  Many spend their entire lives pursuing empty paths, but the one who is faithful to God pursues righteousness.
