Teams 1 & 4 will lead our Ministry Of Encouragement for the next two weeks.

Those who want to be involved in the new outreach ministry, “The Missional Engagement Group,” are invited to meet tomorrow evening at 6:30 to discuss and pray for a more effective outreach to the community and surrounding area with Christ’s message.  (Listen to the announcements today for the location. Contact Brian Games for more information.)

Everett & Judy have been on vacation since last Monday and he plans to return to the office tomorrow morning.  We are blessed to have Brad present both the morning and evening sermons today.

We are sorry to learn of the death of Lois Gibbs, who passed away last Monday.  She was a former member here and a wife of one of our former Shepherds.   She has lived in Vincennes, Ind. since she moved from St. C. in the early 80’s.

All the youth and young adults are invited to a weekend of emphasizing the spiritual Nov. 11-13 at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville.  If you want more information or desire to participate, please contact Brad or Brian for more details.

Next Sunday is a “Fifth-Sunday.” So all of the contribution will be used to lower the balance on our Reservoir Rd. property.  Our goal is to decrease it to below $100,000 by the end of this year.   We are thankful for the way our Lord has blessed us so far and we are trusting Him to continue helping us in expanding our facilities.

If you happen to miss any of the sermons preached during our worship services or would like to listen to them again or if you know of someone who may benefit from them, they are now available in audio form on our website StCChurch.org.  Go to the  website, then click on “Media,” then on “Sermons” and choose the sermon you want to hear.

Only 3 weeks remain for us to fill the cans with coins and paper money to help with the support of the children who live at Potter Children’s Home.  The deadline for returning the cans is Nov. 13.

If you would like to meet Dr. Harold Shank, the new President of Ohio Valley University, he will be in the fellowship hall of the Wheeling congregation on National Rd. tomorrow evening beginning at 7:00.  This would be a great way to welcome him to our area and to support the college where many of our students have studied over the years.

“Internet Safety for Adults & Children,” is the title of a presentation being sponsored by the East Main church in Barnesville on Nov. 5 @ the Barnesville Senior Center, 4-6 p.m. (See the bulletin board for more details.)
