There will be a brief congregational meeting following this evening’s services, during which the budget for 2014 will be presented.

The teens will be headed to Gatlinburg, TN for Winterfest, February 14-16. All teens in grade 7 and up are encouraged to come. We will need chaperones as well. The deadline to register with Brad is today.

After evening services tonight, we will have our monthly fellowship dinner to honor those with birthdays and anniversaries in January . Care Group C is in charge of the set-up and clean-up.

Newly updated Care Group Calling Chains are available in the rack by the main entrance. Please make sure you have the up-to-date information, especially as winter weather nears.

There are several copies of the most recent edition of “Heart to Heart”(which we mail around the community) and “Gospel Minutes” available on the table by the main entrance and in the hallway across from the preacher’s office. Please take them to use and distribute as you can.

Your old eyeglasses (especially ones for reading) are needed for various mission points.

We are still collecting cartridges from Inkjets and Faxes to help with the support of the children who reside at the Shulz-Lewis Children’s Home.

We are continuing to collect the fronts of used greeting cards.  (No Christmas Cards, please.)

“Box Tops for Education” and “Campbell’s Labels for Education” are needed by Mid-Western Children’s Home. Only the UPC label is necessary.  To save time and shipping expense, please cut the label out before placing them in the box in the hallway.

If you want to help with any of these ongoing ministries, please bring the items and place them in the appropriate containers on the table in the hallway.

More than 44 percent of all adults in the United States are unmarried; that’s more than 102 million people.  Living alone presents many challenges to adults today, but the Lord’s way provides some valuable help to single people.

Next week’s lesson by Phil Sanders is, “Never Alone”.  The program can be seen locally every Sunday, 7:30a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
