PRAYER REQUESTS

  Mary Bass will consult with an oncologist soon regarding the lesions which showed up in a recent x-ray. Vonda Swisher was transferred to Forest Hills last Tuesday.  (Her family requests limited visitation.)   Mabel Hutson was hospitalized overnight early last week with elevated levels in her sugar, blood pressure and liver enzymes. Pam Thrash has been in Wheeling Hospital since last Monday for treatment for her continued problems with cellulitis in her legs. Esther Koerber is undergoing physical therapy at Forest Hills (No visitors, please.) Justin Glasgow is to undergo outpatient surgery this coming Thursday to remove a piece of glass from his foot.  Brenda McCreary will be confined to her home for about 3 weeks as she recovers from last Tuesday’s foot surgery.  Jeff  Bigler was to consult with a surgeon yesterday concerning his back pain.

Brienda Dickey, Rich & Julie Daley’s daughter, continues to experience problems with her blood pressure.  Lyn Pacifico, Kay Sowinski’s cousin and our sister-in-Christ, is to undergo cataract surgery this coming Friday. (She is a resident of Heartland Nursing Home.) Deanna Bass, Mary’s daughter-in-law, is to consult with a surgeon this coming Wednesday for possible surgery.  Jeff Cross, Darin & Kim Clark’s brother-in-law, is experiencing severe health issues.

    Pam Tribbie is to undergo hip surgery this coming Tuesday. Meagan Burgy, an 8-year old student in the St. C. school system is gradually improving in a hospital in Pittsburgh after being found facedown in a bathtub.  Janet Irvin, a friend of Pat Rice, is in ICU in Wheeling Hospital with double pneumonia and a hole in her lung.

Please continue your prayers for Charles Boger, Clyde Carpenter, Michael Coiner (Dot Nice’s nephew, brain cancer), Susan Foy (Bill Rice’s niece, cancer), Brian Games, June Goodman, Clara Helms, Faith Hilton (Bunky Loy’s granddaughter), Ethel Kent, Judy Kinemond  (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer), Steve Lattocha, Charlotte Mason (Mae Deller’s daughter, cancer), Paul Moore (Brenda Sponhaltz’s brother-in-law), Peg Spielvogel, Colten Strauss, Mike Tribbie, Sue Wirsing and Mary Zink.

Let’s continue to pray for Leslie Judge as she gets nearer the delivery of the addition to their family in December.

PRAYERS FOR OUR MILITARY PERSONNEL

Please continue praying for those of our church family and extended church family who are serving in the armed forces…Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Bill Randolph (Matt’s father is to return to the states from Afghanistan this month), Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son) and  Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son).

SYMPATHY

We extend our deepest sympathy to Skip & Linda Gooch in last Monday’s sudden death of their daughter-in-law, Missy Gooch.  There will be a Memorial Service for her tomorrow at 11:00 at Holy Angels Parish located at 408 Baldwin Rd. in Pittsburgh.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP

Everyone is invited to stay after this evening’s worship service for a period of informal fellowship and refreshments in the MP Room as we honor those with Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries in November.  Care Group A will be in charge of the arrangements.

BRIDAL SHOWER

During December’s Monthly Fellowship, we will honor the soon-to-be-married Jerry & Kelly (Westervelt) Hatcher with a Money-Tree.  If you would like to donate, please give your money to Gail Bigler, Amy Games or Pam Moore by Nov. 28.

MINISTRY OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Teams 1 & 4 will lead our Ministry of Encouragement  for the next two weeks.

YOUTH RETREAT

This coming Friday through Sunday, several of our youth in Grade 7 – College Age will be participating in the annual St. C. Youth Retreat at Grand Vue Park near Moundsville.  Contact Brad  Schrum for more details.

“SNOW-BIRDS” OFF TO FLORIDA

This past week, Carl & Nancy Stonebraker left to spend the winter months in Florida.  Their address is in the directory. We will miss them and look forward to their return in the Spring.

GLEANER CANS

We have just four more weeks to fill the Gleaner Cans with coins and paper money to help support the children at Potter Children’s Home in Bowling Green, KY.  The deadline for returning the cans is Sunday, Dec. 2.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

Hope is to the soul what breath is to the body. We simply cannot live without the hope that something better is coming. God gives us that hope! In next week’s lesson, “Hope,” Phil Sanders will discuss how God is the answer to the struggles of life we face each day. The nationally televised program can be viewed  every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7.
