    PRAYER CONCERNS

Vera Perry is to undergo shoulder replacement and rotator cuff surgery tomorrow in St. Ann’s Hospital (Columbus).  Dorothy Kimble is in critical condition in EORH.  Bill Richards is now home after being hospitalized last week with a reoccurrence of his congestive heart failure.

Brian Games has been able to walk with only a cane since last Monday.  This past week, Charles Boger has been  increasing the distance he is able to walk. Anna Witchey’s condition is stable. She remains at home.  Jocelyn Davis is to have tubes inserted in her ears this coming Thursday in Pittsburgh. Kevin Kalany received a favorable progress report during last week’s doctor’s appointment.

Grace Randolph, Matt’s mother, has been hospitalized in Wheeling Hospital for the past week with severe pain in one of her feet.  Holly Bine, Pat Rice’s brother, has been told that his cancer has spread to his liver.  Glenna Gates, Judy Hutson’s sister-in-law, remains in critical condition in Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Patty Elsey, the aunt of Terrie Gaston & Sally McDiffitt, is experiencing serious respiratory problems.

It was good to have Evelyn Barker out for one night of our series last Monday.

Let’s continue to prayerfully support those of our number serving in the military…Nathan Rodak (Jay & Rhonda’s son, returned from Afghanistan last week) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son, returned to the States a few days ago).

Our prayers continue to be needed for those who are still awaiting the arrival of their newborns…Carrie Lucas (a girl this month), Amy Higgins (a boy in May) and Lindsay McKeen (a girl in July).

WELCOME TO THE WORLD

We want to congratulate Jesse & Terra Blacker on last Tuesday’s birth of Ethan Benjamin who weighed 6 lbs. 11-1/2 oz. and measured 20 inches long.  They are home and doing well.

PUBLIC REQUEST FOR PRAYERS

Last Wednesday evening, Pat Rice publicly responded to the invitation to request our prayers that she gain the strength to accept God’s will for her brother who is suffering from cancer.

SYMPATHY

We extend our deepest sympathy to Carolyn Campbell in last Tuesday’s death of her brother-in-law, Archie Findley.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP & BRIDAL SHOWER

Everyone is invited to the Bridal Shower for Brad & Kristin Noling in conjunction with our Monthly Fellowship in the MP Room following this evening’s worship service.  We will also honor those with Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries in April. Care Group C is in charge of both.

MISTAKES ON APRIL’S CALENDAR

Janet Eide’s Birthday was listed as being on April 11 on this month’s calendar.  It should be April 1.

Chris & Maizee Bunner’s Wedding Anniversary should be April 2, not April 12.  We apologize for the errors.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

All the men and boys are invited to the Monthly Men’s Breakfast at Eat ‘N Park this coming Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

LADIES’ RETREAT

This year’s Ladies’ Retreat (including Jr. & Sr. Hi girls) at Grand Vue Park near Moundsville will be April 20 & 21.  If you would like to attend, please sign the list on the bulletin board by next Sunday.

WALK-A-THON

A “Walk-A-Thon” to help raise additional funds for the Games Family will be held on Saturday, May 12, in Moundsville.  Informational packets are available on the table in the foyer.

ITEMS FOR POTTER CHILDREN’S HOME

The representatives from Potter Children’s Home in Bowling Green, KY, are asking that we donate French Dressing, Bottled Water and Soft-Scrub this year.  They also need cash donations to help with the purchase of perishable foods. The deadline for bringing the items or donating the money is May 12.

PETITION RE: ABORTION

Have you signed the petition regarding abortions in Ohio yet?  If not and you are a resident of Ohio, you can sign one in the foyer today.  Be sure to follow the specific directions to make sure your signature will be properly validated.
