PRAYER CONCERNS

Corey Hayes was to undergo cataract surgery on his right eye this past Thursday. Neil Kent remains in Park Health Care Center where his condition continues to weaken. Mae Deller’s June 14th angioplasty revealed blockage in her arteries. However, they were unable to insert any stents. Randy Nolte is at home continuing to recover from recent hernia surgery. Nancy Hudson continues to experience severe pain in her back and legs.
Kevin Kalany’s condition continues to improve in Morgantown as he recovers from his bone marrow transplant. Curtis Blake, Darlene Straub’s father, remains in Wheeling Hospital.   Francis Satterfield, Terrie Gaston and Sally McDiffitt’s father, has been diagnosed with an aneurysm in his stomach.  Edward Yoho, Donna Turley’s uncle, in in Harrison Co. Community Hospital in Cadiz with respiratory problems.
Donna Morris, a friend of Bunky Loy’s who worships with us frequently, is experiencing severe jaw pain and a sinus infection. Dusty Funkhauser, one of Bunky’s daughters, has been diagnosed as having calcium deposits in one of her eyes.
Rhonda Hashman, Paige’s mother, is recovering from recent neck surgery. Raymon Higgs, Brenda Sponhaltz’s father, continues to undergo physical therapy in Belmont Community Hospital. Kristin Davia, Union Local’s social worker, is in Wheeling Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
The following continue to need our support: Evelyn Barker, Jim Bass (Mary’s son), Barry Bryson, Linda Denney, Wanda Dunham (Becky Groves’ mother), Rick Everson (former Bridgeport principal, cancer), Shelli Glasgow, Sally Hickenbottom, Faith Hilton (Bunky Loy’s granddaughter), Brenda Mullen (Sowinskis’ neighbor), Mackenzie Phillips (Kay Sowinski’s 3-year old niece), Ray Ramsay, Edie Roberts, Joe Santini (Heather’s husband), Peg Spielvogel, Kenny Swisher, (Vonda’s stepson) and Lauren Symanek (Wayne Patton’s niece).
Last Sunday, we were happy to hear that Paul & Leslie Huffman are expecting their first child toward the early part of February, 2012. Last Monday’s ultrasound revealed that everything is going well.

BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST
We rejoice with Martice Thompson’s decision to be baptized into Christ early in the morning on June 18 during the Teen Lock-in. He resides with his grandparents.  We welcome him to the family. He will be in Care Group B.

SHEPHERDS-DEACONS-PREACHERS MEETING
All the shepherds, deacons and preachers will meet in the MP Room today at 4:30 for their bi-monthly meeting .

YOUTH ACTIVITY
If you were in Grades 1-6 this past school year, you are invited to an afternoon of activities here at the church building today from 1:00 to 3:00.

TEEN DEVO
The teens are invited to the Hutsons’ this coming Thursday, 7-9 p.m., for the weekly devotional.

CAMP CONCERN
Registrations are still being accepted for Senior & Secondary Weeks. However, the deadline for saving $10.00 on the fee passed yesterday. The deadline for the other two weeks is July 9. Brochures with applications are available on the table in the foyer. See the box at the bottom of the next column for all the dates.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
VBS will soon be here…Aug. 8-12; 6:30-8:30 p.m. There will be classes for Ages 3-Grade 6 and Adults. We will be studying “The Life of Moses” If you would like to assist in any way, please contact Dennie Green.

WEDNESDAY ADULT CLASS SERIES
As the Wednesday Adult series continues this week, Greg Vickers will present the lesson “Go…Show Yourself” focusing on Lk. 7:14 as the text.

MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP & MEN’S BREAKFAST
Due to the holiday weekend next week, the Men’s Breakfast and Monthly Fellowship will be postponed until July 9 and July 10 respectively

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE
The church has two walkers, a wheelchair, a set of crutches and a walking cane available to loan to anyone who may need any of them.

IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY
Anyone can make a good start, but staying faithful to the end demands loyalty and determination. How can we as Christians stay faithful to our Lord amidst all the temptations and challenges facing us each day? That will be the question which Phil Sanders will consider in next week’s lesson, “A Nation Under God.” The program can be seen Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on WTRF-TV, ch. 7.
