 PRAYER REQUESTS

Donna Hirauk’s recovery from her broken ribs is going well. Paula Schmidli is scheduled to undergo an outpatient surgical procedure in Cleveland Clinic this coming Tuesday. Several of our church family are fighting seasonal illnesses such as strep throat, colds and the flu.

    Louis Bain, Kate’s husband, was to undergo surgery last Thursday to remove cancerous tissue from his arm. Carol Bethel, Kathy Green’s sister, is improving after dislocating her shoulder a few days ago.    Betty Christy, Linda Denney’s and Jan Ehni’s aunt, has been diagnosed as being in stage IV of cancer.

    Stan Campbell, Carolyn’s son, is recuperating at Carolyn’s following the insertion of a stent in one of his arteries after he suffered a heart attack on Feb. 13.  Elsie Isiminger, Brenda McCreary’s mother, continues to improve at home following carotid artery surgery on Feb. 15   Brienda Dickey, Rich & Julie Daley’s daughter, is doing better after injuring her back in an automobile accident a few days ago.   Gary Merryman, a friend of Joe Schmidli, is recovering after undergoing  quadruple heart bypass surgery last week in a Canton hospital.

  Jim & Joy Yontz were planning to leave yesterday to spend  3 weeks in Florida.

Our prayers are still needed for those for whom they have been requested recently… Charles Boger, Clyde Carpenter, Linda Denney, Marilyn Finley (Carolyn Campbell’s twin sister), Faith Hilton (Bunky Loy’s granddaughter), Louis “Mike” Hinkle (Michaela’s father), Lee Hoffman, Nancy Hudson,  Kevin Kalany,  Judy Kinemond  (Mary Donna Wodarcyk’s daughter-in-law, cancer), Charlotte Mason (Mae Deller’s daughter, cancer), Larry Nowakowski, Lyn Pacifico (Mary Bass’s niece), Pearl Roy, Nancy Spielvogel (Ron’s mother), Peg Spielvogel, Darlene Straub, Jennifer Wheeler (Amy Nestor’s mother), Sue Wirsing and Jerry Yost  (preacher for the Duffy congregation).

 SHUT-INS

SERVING IN THE MILITARY

Our prayers and encouragement are always needed for those of our church family and extended church family who are serving in the military…Jason Harris (Bill & Pat Rice’s son-in-law), Bill Randolph (Matt’s father) and Joey Stenger (Joe & Karen’s son).  It’s good to have Nathan Rodak home for a few days.

SYMPATHY

We extend our sympathy to Matt Randolph in last Wednesday’s death of his grandmother, Grace Randolph, in Wheeling.

 NEW BROTHER IN CHRIST

Last Monday, Charles Hope, Jr., was baptized into Christ.  We rejoice with Charles in his decision to commit his life to Christ and we welcome him to the church family.

 COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES

The deadline is this evening for bringing the items for the Care Packages for those of our church family who are in college, a technical school or are serving in the military.  Please place the item(s) on the table in the hallway across from Everett’s office.

 SHEPHERDS-DEACONS-PREACHERS MEETING

Our shepherds, deacons and preachers are scheduled to meet in the MP Room this afternoon at 4:30 to pray for and to discuss the work of the StC church family.   Please continue to pray for these men as they lead and serve us.

SPRING QUARTER TO BEGIN

The Spring Quarter for our Bible Classes will begin next Sunday morning.  The class materials are available to be picked up on the table outside Brad’s office.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2013

Plans are already underway for this summer’s VBS—August 5-9.  The theme is “Peter, A Fisher of Men.” Reserve those dates on your calendar so you and your children won’t miss any of the sessions.

 YOUTH GAME NIGHT

All those in Grades 7-12 are invited to Brad & Amanda Schrum’s this Thursday, 7-9 p.m., for an evening of games. (Contact Brad for more details.)

 UNCLAIMED ITEMS

There are several unclaimed items and coats which have been around the building for quite some time.  If you would like to take any of them, please feel free to do so.  They are on the table across from Everett’s office and the coats are hanging on the end of the coat rack under a sign reading “Free Coats.”

There are also several items outside Room 12 in the basement hallway.

   MEN’S BREAKFAST

All the men and boys are invited to the Monthly Breakfast at Eat ‘N Park this coming Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

 MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP

Following next Sunday evening’s worship service, everyone is invited to stay for the Monthly Fellowship during which we will honor those with Birthdays or Wedding Anniversaries in March. Care Group C will be in charge of the arrangements.

 IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY

In next week’s lesson, “Baptism II,” Phil Sanders, the program’s keynote speaker, will explore what the Bible teaches about  baptism from  the epistles and some of the misunderstandings people have about this important subject. The program can be seen on WTRF-TV, Ch. 7., every Sunday at 7:30 a.m.
